Byzantine chamber music concert in Xanthi – (PHOTOS)

The Metropolis of Xanthi recently organized a concert of Byzantine chamber music, on the occasion of the 100-year anniversary of the northeast Greece city’s liberation.

After the performance, the Metropolitan of Xanthi and Peritheorios, His Eminence Panteleimon, referred to the relationship between the Thracian city and Constantinople, while thanking the Ecumenical Patriarch, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, who gave his blessing for the presence of the Patriarchate’s chief chanter at the celebratory events in the city.

The Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos, also arrived in the city on Thursday in order to participate at the commemorations.
