The Russian Church continues its significant charity and social work amid the ongoing pandemic, which has exacerbated social problems in the vast country.
According to reports, more and more people are turning to the Church, amid this dire period, for their basic needs.
The Moscow Patriarchate’s Synodical Department for Church Charity and Social Ministry continues to receive numerous requests for food on a daily basis. The Church’s organization has committed all of its human resources towards collecting necessary funds and products, with the emphasis now being on creating, stocking and operating food banks.
