The Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilie II, this week received clerics from the diocese of Mar-ne-u-li, along with local officials and representatives of the Azeri community in the country.
In a related statement, Bishop Gjiorgi noted that creation of the diocese in the specific region of southeastern Georgia some six years ago contributed to a revival of Christian life in the historic province of Kvemo Kartli.
