Today is the Eve of the Nativity of Christ our Lord, Christmas Eve.
The Church today venerates the memory of Eugenia, the Righteous Nun-martyr of Rome. St. Eugenia ended her life in martyrdom in the imperial city during the reign of Emperor Commodus, at the end of the second century.
