The principal of the St.Peter of Cetinje Seminary in Montenegro, protopresbyter Fr. Gojko Perovic, this week flatly rejected claims by certain media in the small Adriatic country, namely, that the Metropolitanate of Montenegro and the Littoral did not adequately implement social distancing and public health measures deemed necessary to reduce exposure to the coronavirus.
The baseless claims leveled against the Church in Montenegro came after the Metropolitan of Montenegro and the Littoral, His Eminence Amphilochios, tested positive for the Covid-19 virus.
The hierarch remains hospitalized as a precaution, and is in good spirits.
