The two-day sessions of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Greece’s Permanent Holy Synod concluded on Wednesday, the last such session of the 163rd synodical period, as the new ecclesiastical year begins on Sept. 1.
According to a released agenda, the Holy Synod’s hierarchs focused on issues dealing with administrative issues, such as transfers of clerics and the protocol for transporting holy icons and relics between Metropolises for veneration by the faithful.
