Church today honors memory of Philip the Apostle of the 70

The Church today venerates the memory of Philip the Apostle of the 70, one of the seven Deacons. St. Philip was appointed to tend the early Christians of Jerusalem, thereby enabling the first Apostles to freely conduct their missions.
