The northern Greece city of Drama today welcomes the Cincture of the Theotokos, known as the Haghia Zoni, or Holy Sash in Greek, which will be venerated at the St. Nicholas Cathedral after arriving in the city’s Eleftheria Square.
The Cathedral will host the Holy Relic until Sunday, June 23, with the Church’s doors opening at 6 .m. and remaining open until late in the evening.
The Haghia Zoni of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be temporarily conveyed from the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi.
