The feast day of Lydia of Philippi was celebrated at the holy baptistery within a chapel at the archaeological site of Philippi, where the Saint became the first European woman to be baptized as a Christian.
The Metropolitan of Fthiotida, His Eminence Symeon, officiated at a con-celebratory Divine Liturgy, co-officiated by the resident Metropolitan of Neapolis and Thasos, His Eminence Stefanos.
