Cyprus govt to consider manner in which churches will open for 12-day Holy period of Christmas

Cabinet ministers of the government of Cyprus will convene on Tuesday to decide on the manner in which places of worship in the free areas of the island republic will open during the upcoming Holy 12-day Christmas celebrations – including the number of worshippers allowed inside churches during services.
The Archbishop of Cyprus, His Eminence Chrysostomos, met today with Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades at the presidential mansion to discuss the proposal by the Church of Cyprus’ Holy Synod for allowing Church-going by worshippers during services.
