Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew visits the Church of Panagia Koumariotissa in Nichori, Bosporus
On Thursday, 10 August 2023, His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew officiated at the Service of the Supplicatory Canon to the Theotokos at the Church of Panagia Koumariotissa of the Neochorion Community.
His Eminence Metropolitan Athenagoras of Kydonia warmly welcomed and addressed His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, whom in turn thanked Metropolitan Athenagoras and addressed the congregation who were present for the Supplicatory Service.
The Ecumenical Patriarch referred to the new Community Councils that emerged from the recent elections, wishing them a blessed ministry, and then made mention to his upcoming visit to Panagia Soumela in Pontus on the 15th of August. He also spoke about certain experiences of the Romiosyni in Constantinople, Imbros and Tenedos, yesterday and today.
