Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople Bartholomew I concludes apostolic visit to Great Britain

The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, concluded a historic pastoral visit with a meeting at Buckingham Palace with new British monarch King Charles III.
His All Holiness was accompanied by the resident Archbishop of Thyateira and Great Britain, His Eminence Nikitas.

Upon completion of his apostolic visit to Great Britain, on the occasion of events celebrating the centenary of the foundation of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese, His All Holiness departed for his native island of Imvros, in the northeast Aegean, where he will remain until Sunday, Oct. 30.

On Sunday, the Ecumenical Patriarch attended a grand reception celebrating the centennial.

On Monday, Archbishop Nikitas hosted the London Christian Leaders’ Breakfast, which took place in honor of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. Afterwards, His All Holiness met with Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, the British Minister of State for the Middle East, South Asia and the United Nations.
