The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, on Monday again referred to the emotive issue of a reconversion of the Hagia Sophia into a mosque, expressing a hope that reason will reign after all in Turkey.
The Patriarch made the statement after officiating at a Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the 12 Holy Apostles, in the Bosporus district of Ferikoy, on the occasion of today’s feast day.
