Ecumenical Patriarch plants cypress tree in Vatopedi’s courtyard in commemoration of historic 2019 visit

On Tuesday, before his departure from Mt. Athos, the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, planted a cypress tree in the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi’s courtyard, in commemoration of the “Greek Patriarch’s” landmark 2019 visit, and as a testament to his love for the natural environment.
