On Tuesday, before his departure from Mt. Athos, the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, planted a cypress tree in the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi’s courtyard, in commemoration of the “Greek Patriarch’s” landmark 2019 visit, and as a testament to his love for the natural environment.
