The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, on Monday morning paid a pilgrimage to the cell of the Annunciation (Evangelismos) of the Theotokos, which belongs to the Holy Monastery of Simonopetra, on Mt. Athos.
His All Holiness was welcomed by the Elder Prodromos and a delegation of Hieromonks from the Monastery.
It is noteworthy that the Elder Archimandrite was ordained into the priesthood by the Ecumenical Patriarch decades ago, when the latter was the Patriarchate’s Metropolitan of Chalcedon.
