Edition on life and works of reposed Elder Archimandrite Justin Părvu to be released in Greece
Three book unveiling events will take place at the end of February, and will mark the first time that the life and works of Elder Justin, one of the most revered and beloved Elders in 20th century Romania, will be presented to the Greek public.
Elder Justin was imprisoned for political and religious reasons by the country’s communist regime between 1948 and 1964. From 1966 to 1991, and under state surveillance, he served at a monk in two Romanian monasteries, while in 1991 he founded the Petru Vodă Monastery, where he lived and served its abbot. In 1999 he founded the Petru Vodă Convent along with a school and hospital.
