Epiphany Festival 2019 – Yarra Bay NSW, officiated by His Grace Bishop Seraphim of Apollonias (VIDEO)
On Sunday 6 January 2019 all the Greek Orthodox Parish-Communities of Sydney celebrated the combined annual Epiphany Day Festival at Yarra Bay, Bicentennial Park NSW. The service of the Blessing of the waters with the Holy Cross was performed by His Grace Bishop Seraphim of Apollonia at 01.15 pm.
The diver who retrieved the Holy Cross was Peter Danas, parishioner of All Saints Parish-Community at Belmore.
Following the service, the traditional Greek Glendi took place with traditional dancing and live music.
