Feast day Mary Madgalene Myrrh bearer & Equal-to-the-Apostles

The Church today venerates the memory of Mary Magdalene, Myrrh bearer & Equal-to-the-Apostles. A Holy Relic of the saint is preserved today at the Holy Monastery of Simonos Petras, on Mount Athos.

Today is also the feast day of Markella, the Virgin-martyr of Chios.
