Feast day of Euthymios the Great

The Church today venerates the memory of Euthymios the Great. Euthymios became “…a vessel of divine utterance,” as a certain historian writes. He was the instructor and elder of St. Savvas the Sanctified. St. Euthymios reposed in the year 473, on Jan. 20.
