Feast day of New Confessor St. George Karslidis of Drama

The Church today venerates the memory of New Confessor St. George Karslidis of Drama, who was born in 1901 in the Pontus region of northeast Asia Minor.

Today is also the feast day of Joannicius the Great, who lived as a hermit in the ninth century.
