Young Orthodox priest Michael Psaromatis travelled to wildfire-ravaged Kangaroo island, off the coast of New South Wales in Australia, this month with his spouse, to offer aid and assistance to people affected by the raging fires in southeast Australia.
Rev. Psaromatis is the parish priest at the St Andrew Greek Orthodox Church in Noarlunga.

While on the island, Rev. Psaromatis celebrated the Great Blessing of the Waters, annually held on the Epiphany, the first time the service was conducted on Kangaroo island.
