First feast day of the Elder Ephraim Katounakiotis celebrated in his native village

The first feast day of the Elder Ephraim Katounakiotis, after his canonization by the Holy Synod of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, was held on Sunday in the village of Ampelochori, in the south-central Greek prefecture of Thebes.
The Orthodoxia news agency was on hand for an archieratical Divine Liturgy on Sunday morning at the village’s chapel, as well as the subsequent great vespers service in the afternoon at the St. Demetrius cathedral of Thebes, officiated by the Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, His Beatitude Ieronymos.
