Fr. Alex Karloutsos awarded prestigious Presidential Medal of Freedom

US President Joe Biden bestowed the Presidential Medal of Freedom to 17 worthy recipients, including cleric Fr. Alex Karloutsos, the former vicar general of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
Fr. Karloutsos was honored during a ceremony at the White House on Thursday.

During his speech, President Biden described Karloutsos as an “incredible leader” and “a man of deep moral clarity,” while praising his “unmatched humility and grace.”

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the highest civilian honor in the United States.

Fr. Karloutsos is the third Greek-American to receive this supreme honor.
