Her Excellency Tamar Beruchashvili, Georgia’s Ambassador to Romania, attended the patronal feast of St Anthimos Monastery in Bucharest last Sunday.

The ambassador posted photos on her X.com profile.

“I attended the Sunday service at the historic St Anthimos Monastery in Bucharest dedicated to All Saints Day.”

“St Anthimos the Iberian, a Georgian-born Romanian Archbishop of the Orthodox Church in Wallachia (18th century), is a common Saint of the Georgian and Romanian sister Churches.”

Due to their common spiritual and cultural heritage, Saint Anthimos Monastery and the Embassy of Georgia have held several cultural and protocol events, such as Georgian officials’ visits to the monastery and the Holy Synod Library, which operates within the monastery’s premises.

St. Anthimos monastery was founded by the Hieromartyr Anthimos the Iberian, and the Synaxis of All Saints was chosen as the patronal feast by the holy hierarch and founder of this monastic settlement.
