Actor Gerard Depardieu converted to Orthodoxy. The baptism ceremony took place at the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Paris. RIA Novosti reports.
“I can confirm that he was baptized in the cathedral,” the cathedral told the agency.
The ceremony took place on Friday, September 4, the source said.
According to TASS, the representative of the temple did not mention the name that Depardieu received at his baptism.
“It was an unexpected event, but very pleasant,” the priest said.
