Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias and his spouse will celebrate Christmas at the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople on Wednesday, with the private visit coming amid a particularly tense period in official Greek-Turkish relations.
The Dendias couple will attend the celebratory Divine Liturgy at the Patriarchal Cathedral of St. George.
The Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, His All Holiness Bartholomew I, will receive the Greek minister afterwards.
