Greek National Defense Minister on Tinos for Dormition, WWII anniversary

National Defense Minister Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos attended events for the Dormition of the Virgin Mary and the 80th anniversary of the sinking of “Elli”, on Tinos island on Saturday.
He attended a liturgy and a prayer at the monument representing the sailors who died when the warship was torpedoed near the port of Tinos in 1940 by an Italian submarine, then threw a wreath in the sea in commemoration of those who died.
