Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain thanks Boris Johnson for Easter message

The Archdiocese of Thyateira and Great Britain expressed its appreciation to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson for his best wishes, on the occasion of the celebration of Holy and Great Easter by the Orthodox faithful in the United Kingdom. The Archdiocese also conveyed its hope to Johnson for a speedy recovery from his coronavirus infection.

“Wholehearted thanks to the Prime Minister and other dignitaries

As the Orthodox Christian Community of this Country, we would like to thank His Excellency Prime Minister Boris Johnson for his warm wishes on Orthodox Easter (Holy Pascha) as well as convey to him our prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Also, we would like to thank the Honourable Members of Parliament, Mr. Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, Mr. Andy Street, Mayor the West Midlands, and Councillors from various cities in this country for extending their wishes to the Orthodox Community on the occasion of Holy Pascha.

Furthermore, we would like to thank Mr. Jason Charalambous, Mr. Petros Nicolaides and Mr. Christos Karaolis for their efforts in raising awareness about the Orthodox Community in the United Kingdom.”
