Hagiography at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church and National Shrine at Ground Zero in Manhattan is expected to be concluded by the end of October, according to Hieromonk Lucas, among the hagiographers at the landmark place of worship.
Fr. Lucas, from the Holy Monastery of Xenophontos on Mt. Athos, spoke with ethnic Greek media in the United States.
He added that the length of time needed to build the spectacular cathedral was due to the complex architecture involved.
