Handover ceremony of Holy Cmmunity administration of Mt. Athos to be held on Sunday

Deputy Foreign Minister Costas Vlassis arrived on the semi-autonomous monastic community of Mount Athos on Friday, in order to attend a handover ceremony on Sunday, whereby new representatives of monasteries will assume the Holy Community’s administration.
Vlassis was accompanied by Mount Athos’ civil governor, Athanasios Martinos.
According to reports, among the monasteries that Vlassis will visit during his stay on the Holy Mountain are the Simonos Petra and Vatopedi Monasteries.
