As the coronavirus COVID-19 continues to spread rapidly and a state of emergency has been declared for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Hellenic College Holy Cross is taking important steps to protect its students, faculty, and staff. Beginning on Monday, March 23, all instruction will be conducted online for the remainder of the semester. Spring break has been extended through Friday, March 20, to allow time for students currently in dormitory housing to prepare to leave campus. Students not currently on campus have been strongly advised not to return. Only those students who are unable to return to their permanent residences due to travel restrictions or other significant restraints will be allowed to remain.

At present, all HCHC staff offices are and will remain open, albeit on a reduced schedule. However, all personal travel by students, faculty, and staff, whether domestic or international, is strongly discouraged except for students returning home. HCHC-sponsored travel is prohibited, and HCHC-sponsored events on and off campus are also prohibited through the end of the semester.
