His Grace Bishop Bartholomew of Charioupolis at a Parliamentary Interfaith Event
On Thursday, 16 November 2023, with the Blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew attended the Interfaith Parliamentary Breakfast at Parliament House in Canberra.
The event was organised by the Australian Catholic University where Federal Parliamentarians, Foreign Diplomats and Leaders of various faiths gathered together.
A special guest this year was the Honourable Chris Bowen MP, Minister of Climate Change and Energy.
A special honour was afforded this year to the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, where His Grace Bishop Bartholomew was asked to offer a prayer.
At the end of proceedings, His Grace Bishop Bartholomew conveyed the love and blessings of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia to many of the distinguished leaders.
