With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia, the 2021 “GO Youth Retreat” took place at Crosslands, 45 km North West of Sydney, between the 5th and 7th of February. The theme of the retreat was “Orthodox Love and Freedom” in which 75 enthusiastic young adults attended. Present at this year’s retreat were His Grace Bishop Iakovos of Miletoupolis, His Grace Bishop Emilianos of Meloa and His Grace Bishop Elpidios of Kyaneon. The Abbot of the Holy Monastery of St George, Yellow Rock, the Very Rev. Archimandrite Ieronymos, also attended as one of the invited guest speakers. During the weekend the participants engaged in a number of social activities, attended various talks and partook in the Divine Liturgy on the Sunday morning. Everyone had the opportunity to ask questions on their faith and enjoy each other’s company. Congratulations to the GO Youth Committee for organising such a great retreat under the guidance and direction of His Grace Bishop Emilianos of Meloa.
