St Euphemia College’s Year 12 students, including 2 Year 11 accelerants that comprise the Class of 2024, have received their results from the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and in ‘Striving for Excellence’ they indeed achieved it. As a Greek Orthodox School committed to the education of the whole person, students showcased their intellectual prowess in the two levels of the Modern Greek course (Modern Greek Extension and Modern Greek Continuers) as well as the advanced levels of Mathematics (Mathematics Advanced, Mathematics Extension 1) and English (English Advanced, English Extension 1 and 2).

The highest ATAR result, with 98.45, was achieved by student Mary Glekas, demonstrating excellent academic performance. Specifically, 9 students from the College achieved an ATAR score above 90, while 45% of the entire cohort attained an ATAR exceeding 80, showcasing a strong overall performance across the board.

The success continued with two students being recognised as All Rounders, achieving the top grade in 10 or more units in their respective patterns of study. These were students Nathan Gregoriades and Lachlan Mansour. Their results demonstrate a consistent level of high achievement across multiple subjects.

Additionally, 40 students (67% of the cohort) were named Distinguished Achievers for attaining the highest possible band in one or more HSC courses.

St Euphemia College’s collective success was further reflected in its ranking of 148th in New South Wales, which was an impressive jump of 76 places from 2023, placing the College in the top 15% of schools in the state. Their results are a testament to their efforts, but more importantly, we are incredibly proud of the personal growth each student has demonstrated.

The Principal Mrs Penny Pachos proudly stated ‘As a Greek Orthodox School committed to the education of the whole person, we prioritise not only academic achievement but also the holistic development of our students. The Class of 2024 exemplifies this philosophy. They leave St Euphemia College equipped and prepared to embrace the future with confidence. The Class of 2024 truly represented the values of St Euphemia College.’
