In this video the great Greek actress of international fame Irene Papas is singing the Acathist Hymn kontakion Τῇ ὑπερμάχῳ στρατηγῷ, “The Invincible Champion”, in Hagia Sophia, 1983. She is singing it a cappella, her voice alone expresses the 15 centuries of this hymn and reflects on the greatness of the Basilica that was built by Justinian, as the temple of the Roman Empire and the most grandiose church of all Christendom.
