Well-known Serbian director Emir Kusturica this week visited the new Cathedral of the Armed Forces of Russia, built in honor of the 75th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War, as the Second World War is known in Russia.
Kusturica said he was acquainted with the elements of the artistic and architectural decoration of the cathedral.
“I cannot believe that this complex was built in 1.5 years. The appearance of the Main Church of the Armed Forces of Russia is a symbiosis of the Orthodox feeling and the borders of your homeland. Without this feeling and without this philosophy, Russia would not be a country that borders on God. The main temple of the Armed Forces of Russia is strength, talent and faith,” he said.
