Official Turkey continued its provocations this week, with the Islamist Erdogan regime threatening to conduct hydrocarbon research in a sea region in the Aegean Sea that is far removed from the nearest Turkish territorial waters or even entails the remotest prospect of being part of that country’s continental shelf.
The latest belligerence comes after Turkey’s defense minister again demanded the demilitarization of several Greek islands in the eastern Aegean, on the one hand, while previously threatening their sovereignty, on the other.
In other words, Ankara uses threats of violence and warmongering, while at the same time demanding that the islands remain defenseless.
