The online magazine Pemptousia on Thursday organized the first online Synaxis, or assembly, from Mount Athos with the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi, with Russian-speaking faithful from around the world.
A simultaneous translation was available from Greek to Russian, and vice versa.
The assembly comes after repeated requests by Russian-speaking believers from around the world.
