Today marks the one-year anniversary of the repose in the Lord of the Abbot of the Holy Monastery of Stavrovouni, Archimandrite Athanasios.
The reposed elder was a much beloved and respected hieromonk on the island republic, serving for some 40 years as the monastery’s hegumen, or abbot.
A memorial service for the reposed elder was officiated by His Grace Nektarios, the Metropolitan of Kitiou, and co-officiated by the Stavrovouni Monastery’s Abbot, Elder Archimandrite Dionysios.
