On Dec. 17, 2019, the feastday of St Dionysios of Zakynthos, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Metropolis’ Church of St Andrew the First called in Miramar. The Divine Liturgy was lead by the Metropolitan of New Zealand, his Eminence Myron, and he was assisted by Father Amphilochios. Following the Liturgy a memorial service was held for the late Metropolitan Dionysios, who was the first Metropolitan of New Zealand, a position he held for 33 years.
His Eminence Myron recounted the late Metropolitan’s many achievements and the high esteem with which he was held in by his flock over the years.
