Memory of St. Ephraim the Syrian commemorated at Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi

The memory of St. Ephraim the Syrian was venerated on Monday at the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi, with centuries-old Athonite order.
The occasion also marked the name day of the Elder Archimandrite Ephraim, the Abbot of the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi.

The Bishop of EumenIa, His Grace Eirinaios, was welcomed at the Mt. Athos Monastery on the eve of the feast day.

Following a concelebratory Divine Liturgy, a synod of the monastery’s elders followed, with the Holy and Great Monastery of Vatopedi issuing a resolution bestowing the Monastery’s Golden Cross distinction to Mr. Fivos Christodoulidis, as a grand benefactor.
