Message by Serbian Patriarch for unity, respect among Orthodox Churches, ahead of Christmas, based on Julian calendar

The Patriarch of Serbia, His Holiness Irinej, conveyed a message of unity and love in his Christmas Eve message on Monday, as Tuesday marks Christmas for the Serbian Orthodox Church, which follows the Julian calendar for its ecclesiastical year.
The Serbian Patriarch called on Christians around the world to “…warm their hearts with the works of the Holy Scripture”, while also stressing that the primary message of this year’s Christmas celebration is that the Orthodox faith must be maintained and at all costs, adding that it is a holy obligation of all national Orthodox Churches to respect one another.
