Metropolis of Corfu bemoans coming feast day of St. Spyridonas without worshippers

The Metropolis of Corfu, Paxous and the Diapontian islands this week announced that, unfortunately, restrictions and public health measures will be followed for the coming feast day of St. Spyridonas, the patron saint of Corfu. The commemoration of the saint’s memory is annual celebrated with splendor and reverence over three days on the Ionian Sea Island.
An announcement by the Holy Metropolis of Corfu refers to the sadness and pain caused by decision, which precludes worshippers from celebratory services, to the clergy and the laity.
