On Tuesday, December 12, 2023, His Eminence Metropolitan Apostolos of New Jersey welcomed hundreds of devout faithful to the Metropolis Headquarters in Westfield, NJ for the Annual Metropolis of New Jersey Christmas Tree Lighting and Open House.
The evening began with the Vespers Service celebrated by His Eminence in the St. John Chrysostom Chapel, during which he led the faithful in prayer in remembrance of the innocent children from throughout the world killed in war.
Following the Vespers, His Eminence offered greetings to all in attendance for their love and support for our Metropolis. Also the faithful heard words of greetings and sentiments of Christmas wishes offered by Mr Konstantinos Konstantinou, Consul General of Greece in New York, Archon James Polos, Vice-President of the Metropolis Council, and Mrs. Alexis a Limberakis, 1st Vice-President of the Metropolis Philoptochos.
Afterwards youth from throughout the Metropolis led the faithful in singing Christmas Carols, while His Eminence together with Consul General Konstantinos lit the Metropolis Christmas Tree in celebration of the impending day of the Nativity of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
