The Metropolis of Pittsburgh is elated to host the 2024 YAL (Young Adult League) Conference, their fourth in a row, on October 18-20, 2024 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! This conference is open to Orthodox Christians ages 18-35 of any jurisdiction and from anywhere in country. Their prayer is that this will be a comforting and loving environment to gather with other young people for faith and fellowship. The theme, “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?: Embracing the World in Love,” will emphasize how and why we are to dialogue with one another, and the importance of holding onto Christ as we communicate – whether within our families, our church communities, or with people of differing faiths.

The Friday night welcome reception will take place at Senator John Heinz History Center with a DJ and museum access and Saturday’s glendi at the St. Nicholas Cathedral Room in downtown Pittsburgh featuring love band Oneiro and DJ Puff. Speaker topics will focus on dialogue and cover critical subjects such as addictions, AI, challenges of differing views, other faiths, the arts, and community. A service project designed to bring love and comfort to sick children in the hospital will also take place – stay tuned for the reveal!

Registration opens today, August 1, at 7 PM EST! Through the hard work of their Executive Committee, prices are the most affordable yet without taking away from the quality of the weekend. Early bird for the first 100 to register is $250 and general admission is $295. You can find more information and the registration link on their website: https://y2am.pittsburgh.goarch.org/ya/2024-yal-conference.
