Metropolitan Bishop of Montenegro and the Littoral, H. E. Amphiliochios received the US ambassador to Montenegro

In the Adriatic country of Montenegro, the Metropolitan Bishop of Montenegro and the Littoral, His Eminence Amphiliochios, this week received the US ambassador to the country, Judy Rising Reinke.

In welcoming the US diplomat, the Metropolitan referred to the centuries-old and rich Christian history and heritage of Montenegro.

Discussions touched on the safeguarding of the right to freedom of religion, especially in light of a new law passed by the Montenegro government that distinctly entails the danger of confiscation, by the state, of property belonging to the Church of Montenegro and the Littoral.
