Metropolitan Bishop of Montenegro: ‘In agreeable times it’s easy to be good, heroes though are born through trial’

The Metropolitan Bishop of Montenegro and the Littoral, His Eminence Amphilochios, on Sunday emphasized that “… in agreeable times it is easy to be good, heroes though are born through trial”.
His Eminence spoke after the Sunday of the Veneration of the Holy Cross service, referring to the coronavirus outbreak and the difficult times faced by the Church in Montenegro due to an inequitable law on religious institutions.

In Bucharest, the Romanian Orthodox Church’s Holy Synod announced that services and the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated without worshippers in cathedrals and chapels around the SE European country. Church services are being broadcast by radio-television outlets in the country. Additionally, Holy Services will continue in monasteries and nunneries, but without the presence of pilgrims and visitors.
