The Metropolitan Bishop of Montenegro and the Littoral, of the Serbian Orthodox Church, His Eminence Amphilochius, this week expressed support for the convening of a Pan-Orthodox synod to resolve the contentious issue of the granting of the Tomos of Autocephaly for the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
His Eminence Amphilochius said it was absolutely necessary for the Church to respect all that has occurred throughout history, on the one hand, while adding that the Church must also adapt to new realities. He concluded that only a Pan-Orthodox synod can resolve such ecclesiastical conflicts.
