On Friday, 1 December 2023, His Eminence Metropolitan Iernymos of Larissa and Tyrnavos, along with his esteemed entourage, had a meeting with His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew in the Patriarchal Office at the venerable centre of Orthodoxy.
His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew expressed his full Patriarchal concern and support for the flood-affected people of Thessaly, and His Eminence Metropolitan Ieronymos of Larissa and Tyrnavos had the opportunity to inform him in detail about the difficult situation and the Christian works of the Church through the Holy Metropolises of Thessaly to relieve the communities in need. Ecclesiastical matters were also discussed during this important meeting.
The pilgrims from Larissa received the wishes and blessing of His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who prayed for the entirety of Thessaly, and indeed for the affected brothers and sisters who continue to rebuild their livelihoods.
Afterwards, His Eminence Metropolitan Ieronymos of Larissa and Tyrnavos and his entourage went to the Holy Pilgrimage site and Cemetery of Baloukli, where, after visiting the Holy Church of Zoodochos Pigi and the graves of the venerable Patriarchs, they met with His Grace Bishop Paisios of Xanthoupolis and the assisting Nuns from the Holy Monastery of Akritochorio Sidirokastro, who have their origin from Thessaly.
